I guess we were eating late lunch or sorting the tortoises' - other people commented on it, locally, so perhaps lunch was extra tasty today as we didn't notice. Only 100 miles away too.

The epicentre was about 10 miles from here.
I was sitting on the bed typing an email to a friend, and had my back against the wall. I heard some thumps, then the wall shook quite violently, and the bed seemed to rise up. There was a loud bang. I thought it was a gas explosion.
All the neighbours came out. They were frightened as I was.
I can still feel where the wall bumped against my back.

One neighbour was siting on his driveway tinkering with his car and he heard nothing. It seems only people inside the houses heard it.

There was hardly anything about it on the news, just the usual boring rubush.
