You'll get a £1,000 fine, Lou, and probably a 6month prison sentence! ;D Would you like us to bail you out?

I am pleased that you do understand Lou, because your rich friends will need to bail you out. ;D It would be easier if you behaved yourself.

If we don't have a census form, do we not exist? Since we moved here we have been able to vote twice (in eleven years), we keep dropping off the electoral register

Got mine but haven't opened it. I think we should repeat the 1911 census where the suffragettes, all went to different houses on the night and as women weren't considered citizens or heads of households they didn't include them on the census. I have been surprised that when this census was accessible no-one commented on this act of defiance

Are you interested in the suffragettes Poly? On Ladies' Night at the masonic lodge my husband goes to, I had everything done out in suffragette colours - tables, napkins, candles, some discreet balloons pinned to the wall with streamers of suffragette colours coming down. It was all beautiful and no-one knew until my speech what they represented. I loved getting this dig in as it is a men's club.

;D on a visit to lobby at the house of commons we were given a small tour and were shown a statue just off st Stevens hall, which had a broken sword, the MP giving the tour commented that it was broken when one of the pankhursts chained herself to it. My reply was it was broken in a good cause then!
