Just spotted this sub forum đź‘Ť My Matucana seedlings x8 arrived yesterday in plastic type paper, so I potted them on as a holding action, putting 4 per pot.
I already have have two willow teepee frames, and plan to put four of them either side of a step gap in our mini dry stone wall. It’s east-facing and once they climb higher, will get sun most of the day. The soil is as far as I can tell, loam with lots of stone. We’re in Berkshire, and the garden is well-protected.
Any my tips for me? Thanks.

I often lose sweetpeas to slugs chrism when they're first planted out so watch out for that & keep them well watered in dry weather or you'll end up with crispy little plants.

Thanks, all. I must say that I am enjoying the ability to invest in the garden on a daily basis - plus relaxing! My sweet peas are growing well, but no signs of buds yet. Oddly, two have developed by themselves outside of the main planting’s around the teepee! I didn’t plant them there!

Thanks, ladybird. Store bought and next time, with the benefit of more experience, I’ll probably go for canes - cheaper! Mine were plugs - Matucana.

I bought a little pot of 'Cupani' sweetpea seedlings from Arley Hall & planted them in a pot on the patio & they are flowering now, I've never smelt anything as lovely, that might be the way to go ladybird as chrism's plug seedlings have grown well too. I've tried to grow them from seed many times & they often get eaten by slugs/snails as soon as they come up , that might be what happened to your direct sown ones this time ladybird.
