We can't know what you're going through of course - but I suspect we've all had bad family ilnesses to handle. Just hang on in there. I know it is very hard. <<hugs>>

Sorry Piskie. We just don't know what's around the corner. I haven't had deadlines from Garden News either. We really have p****d them off haven't we? I would have thought it was the other way round. They decided to close their forum down using the excuse they are revamping their website. Where was their loyalty, to the forum members, of which the majority purchase the Garden News/ Garden Answers. Do they want us to buy their rival to Garden News, the Amateur Gardener.

I have emailed twice now but not even the courtesy of a reply - very odd, unless, of course, Jackie is still on hols so therefore her email isn't being checked.
I shall email Claire today - this is bad form!

Thanks Tel - I didn't mean my Mum to get into this thread but I was feeling tearful at the time and it just found its way into the text.
It feels weird because Mum has almost never been ill and we just kind of assumed she never would be - but I'm very lucky to have two fantastic brothers and a sister who live very close to her and are on hand.
Have you had deadlines Tel? I guess this is a culling process they are doing, I have no problem at all if they no longer want me - I just expect courtesy of being told.

I have been sacked from Garden News. I got nothing except a Christmas card every year anyway, Oh I did get some gardeners' hand cream in a pair of wellie boots. Bet that cost a lot.
If you wonder how I am feeling. I am even surprised myself, that I am alright. However, it was a different story when the forum shut down. I was in shock with that.
I feel free.

The more I hear about the way you contributors are being treated, the more annoyed I feel about it.
The word 'courtesy' is the right one - and they haven't shown you any. It was bad enough hearing that they were closing the forum down with no reasonable explanation - but I feel for you all and hope that you get apologetic replies soon.
