You're in the right section seajay, I'm sure there will be someone on here who can offer you advice/tips on building a greenhouse, I've never done it myself, I inherited the one here when we moved in but I think members such as Geumlover, sweetpea & ladybird have built/put together one or two greenhouses in their time.

What I'm thinking of doing is building the frame from 4x2 timber and using a clear plastic corrugated sheets like Onduline.

For something that size why not consider a polytunnel/ Cheaper and easier and unless you want to grow really tender stuff just as good as a g'house other than that look at freecycle and adverts in local paper or gardening club. You might strike lucky. if you do make your own frame, use red cedar if you can get it and for glazing use twin walled polycarbonate which you can easily cut/saw to size and is quite light to work with.
