You're in the right section seajay, I'm sure there will be someone on here who can offer you advice/tips on building a greenhouse, I've never done it myself, I inherited the one here when we moved in but I think members such as Geumlover, sweetpea & ladybird have built/put together one or two greenhouses in their time.

Welcome to the forums Seajay. there are loads of ideas and utube vidios that people have kindly made as they have made constructing their own ideas for a greenhouse here is one here I was looking at today though it is rather large and elaberate www.youtube.com/watch?v=1YQX1uiqtMQ and another smaller one here www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwOmUN5B4FY

Hi Ladybird

I was looking at the second video only yesterday and that's the one I'm looking to build.

Size will be 10' x 8' or 12' x 10'

For something that size why not consider a polytunnel/ Cheaper and easier and unless you want to grow really tender stuff just as good as a g'house
other than that look at freecycle and adverts in local paper or gardening club. You might strike lucky.
if you do make your own frame, use red cedar if you can get it and for glazing use twin walled polycarbonate which you can easily cut/saw to size and is quite light to work with.

I'll get around to it eventually
