Lovely weekend in Norfolk visiting on the Friday the fabulous East Ruston Old Vicarage Gardens. They're huge! Definitely one of the best! link

Thanks for the link/pics. Have visited when on holiday on The Broads. Wonderful place...I agree, one of the best. The "boys" are characters

I bought my Bergenia ciliata ‘Wilton’ at East Ruston last July. This is a favourite plant, which I put above my Melianthus major. Even the flowers are really special.
East Ruston is a hot garden to visit on a hot Norfolk day, as the heat concentrates in the garden ‘rooms’.
Alan Gray hosts a very good weekly gardening phone-in programme on Radio Norfolk. I won my border spade from him on this programme.

Visited this lovely garden also in 2018 during one of the hottest and driest summers. Almost felt like 'being abroad'. Here's a couple of pics of the garden including the owner's lovely vintage Delage car. ... ... Ye gods.. is that a DS-8 ? There are rare as hens teeth !!! The garden is lovely as well. It's a BIT far for me to go, but... it MIGHT make a nice day out ?
