I'm sure sweetpea will have all the details but there's supposed to be a 'blood moon' visible in the U.K. this Friday 27.07.18 around 9 - 10pm when it is eclipsed. The moon looked very good here last night, could see lots of the craters on it with binoculars & took an 'almost in focus' pic. with my handheld camera, would have been better with a tripod.  |

Yes SueA on the evening of the 27th the moon rises fully eclipsed and then gradually comes out of it and returns to a normal full moon. Knowing my luck will probably be clouded out. |

You will need a clear horizon to the east unlike me who has buildings in the way so will have to go elsewhere
