An update on my labels, just for you roofy I have just recently obtained a nice quality cream venetian blind , now chopped up for more than 1000 labels and another white one awaiting destruction courtesy of freecycle . I`m now toying with the idea of stripes and little flowers, perhaps spots, zigzags even, the possibilities are endless......

I have some magnets stuck to the sides of my DIY potting tray in the greenhouse so I can attach the little metal containers with some labels there.

ZOMG.... your system is amazing, ladybird. You use pieces of ventian blind with magnets ? That is GENIUS ! I use the magnets to hold the tins that hold the labels roofy . The magnets are stuck to the potting tray with superglue . I had to screw on one little knorr stock cube tin as it was too heavy for the magnets to hold it.

that is what I call organization ladybird would you mind if I copied the label holder idea ? Not at all grindle , I love those little tins, seems a shame to throw them out. I first saw the idea on pinterest where someone used the little mustard tin with magnets on the fridge to hold pens/ pencils . needless to say I have one on my fridge now.

LB you are in danger of being labelled a 'Label nerd' personally I just cut up the plastic butter containers but admit to using old venetian blinds in the past. When i used to grow sweetpeas for exhibition I just marked the actual clay pots and kept a reference. No actual labels IN the pots.

I used to use the butter containers Sweetpea thought the print seems to rub off them quicker and I couldn't eat enough butter for all the labels I use. Steve sent me some pale blue aluminum venetian blind slots many years ago which were great for outside . I still find some in the garden where I had wrote the name with a screwdriver indented into the aluminum and they are as good as new. mmmm......... I might just go on a hunt for aluminum ones now

Very neat and organised indeed ladybird . I make all my labels from milk containers, and I keep a yearly diary of all seeds sown, later I note in it what worked well and what didn't. I love planning and writing up my garden plans for the following year during the gloomy months!

I love planning and writing up my garden plans for the following year during the gloomy months! I love sorting things during the winter as well jellibeans . I usually start on boxing day so It gives me something to look forward to after the Christmas frenzy . I intend planning a little better this year so I have my beds ready and only grow what I need and not every seed in the packet
