Even David Attenborough hasn't been able to film this. One of the most unique rituals in the animal kingdom. What happens when the alpha male of an Antarctic penguin colony dies. Indeed it has only ever been observed by a select few naturalists when stationed on Antarctica in recent years. Apparently the colony gathers round the deceased bird and after what appears to be a display of grief the larger penguins excavate a hole in the ice using just their beaks and when large enough the dead penguin is gently rolled into the hole whereupon the the ice is used to cover the body. All the penguins then gather in a circle round the grave and sing, 'Freeze a jolly good fellow....'

I started reading this with a certain amount of belief, but finished reading it with the same reaction as grindle gave. I was suspicious all the way because it had your name as the contributor sweetpea.
