They look like those ferocious Harlequin ladybirds steve, they'll eat the native ladybirds as well as the aphids but there seems to be a ladybird population explosion already in our garden, it looks like it'll be a bumper year for them!

That never occurred to me Sue but you could well be right, they are very variable but all have a white triangle on the head and although not very clear you can make out something similar on one of them?

The ones in my pic. in our garden all look like native ladybirds to me steve, I think the randy one on top in your video looks like a harlequin, they're usually a bit bigger than the normal ones & have a black 'H' or 'M' shape on their heads.
