Please can someone identify this rose. It never grows very big.

I think it is Handel. I grew this in Southery and mine never grew very big, yet Handel is a climber. I saw it growing very well in Scotland, which is why I wanted it. Someone else might know better as there are so many varieties around now.

Not sure that it is Handel. This bloom seems to have all the outside petals the darker pink whereas Handel has the darker colour swirling through the edges, and as you say Cherry, Handel is a climber and this one appears to be a shrub rose of sorts. Suggest you look at one of the rose growers Eli, their websites will have a whole array to choose from. Good luck!

It does look like my Nostalgie/Nostalgia rose although mine appears to be a bit darker on the outer petals but that could just be the way the colour is showing up on my laptop. It's a lovely rose, mine has grown quite tall this year but then so has everything else.

Thanks for all your replies grindle , Lou78W , Cherry , SueA . Yes it is Nostalgia, now it's been mentioned I can remember it I have Handel in another part of the garden. It's one of my favourite roses.
Everything seems to have grown tall with me too SueA except this rose which hasn't. I think it is being choked by so many other plants, I will move it to a different position in the autumn. My camera doesn't pick up colours very well. It is actually darker than in the photo.
