Has anyone had experience with the sowing of Primula capitata seeds? I will mark this for the attention of grindle because I feel as if she would be the most likely person. I bought this primula in a sale at the nursery and it had no name. I took the risk, and like it. Any primula is good for me. When I shake the flower, I just get farina on the plate. Oh I think I can see them now. This is going to take some time. I will still leave this post, to find out the experience of others.

I haven't tried with that particular one Cherry but I usually sow in the autumn on damp compost covered with pearlite and leave outside under cover. RHS suggest autumn to spring sowing

Thank you grindle. This is one I have not grown, so it was a lovely surprise when it flowered. It is a late flowering Primula and I tucked it in below my Zephirine Drouhin rose where it had a lot of shade. It is a change from the usual beautiful types.
