Some of you will remember the problems we have had with a leaking cold water pipe under our bathroom floor.........which resulted in the plumber cutting a hole in the sitting room ceiling The Insurance Assessor called today.....and it transpires that they will not only pay for the ceiling to be repaired, but skimmed, re-painted.....new coving and.......re-decorating the whole room....apart from the paintwork that is.....isn't that good ;D ;D...real chuffed I am ;D

That sounds like a result there Louise After Sara's flat was flooded, basically the same thing is happening with her, but one integral support beam is also being replaced and new bits around her window, so we are quite pleased with that too

Ah!!! ....I wondered; the Inspector told us that their contractors are really busy at the moment. We were offered the opportunity to have a cash settlement and get our own people in. We thought it would be better for them to do it as I don't know a builder/plasterer/decorator

that is a good result Lou78W. sometimes the insurance companies do pay up. I lost a gold locket on holiday and they paid its current replacement value.
