I see the farmers have been complaining that the lack of itinerate workers from europe will threaten the harvesting of crops. A couple of very simple solutions which some of us have been discussing this very problem on another closed forum. Schools, colleges and unis are closed so rope all these fit young bods to do the harvesting same as i did when a school kid. Alternatively get those prisoners who are being released due to Covid 19 on to the land and make them do something useful. Every year as a youngster me and others woud go tattie howking, berry picking, haymaking , cleaning out stables and byres, delivering milk and anything else that was required. kept us fit and occupied and also earned a few quid so why not rope in the criminals to do something useful but no doubt the goody two shoes brigade would moan about their 'Human rights.' Oh i could go on and on but I think you know what I'm on about.
