Can i put this outside/ in the cold frame as its taking over the kitchen

. Ive tied in all the long stems as it was all over

Its sent out another new shoot since i tied it back, it only takes a few days for it to be heading towards the sink

Ive read that you do this by trimming the low growth in spring. do i cut right up to the main stem? or leave some of the side shoot?.
