I've noticed small seedlings growing in this pot with a Cyclamen coum and I don't know what I should do with them - should I separate them out into individual small pots, leave them alone, or repot the while thing as it is ? Advice will be greatly appreciated.

I think I'd be tempted to try & pull off clumps of the seedlings & pot them up as clumps in just a couple of pots to grow on until they form little tubers & then you could pot on the main tuber if you wanted to.

I think you could go either way. They are not too crowded and still very new and would be happy in that pot this year. However, if you transferred them now, your mother cyclamen might do the same next year.

Morning folks, does anybody know if the cyclamen sold in supermarkets, usually in trays of 4's or 6's, are the self-seeding types? I would like some self-seeding ones but don't know which they are.

Generally the Cyclamen sold in the Supermarkets are Cyclamen persicum forms. They are not reliably hardy. You need to look out for ones specifically labelled as either Cc.coum or hederifolium for hardy self seeding ones. Either that or find someone who has them and beg some seed in about a couple of weeks time when the pods open.

Eli your cyclamen will be dormant now, but what did you decide to do? Maybe we have to wait until flowering time to learn the answer.

I left them alone Cherry and they all died, as well as the big corm. I think they should have been repotted and the big corm given fresh compost as well.

Eli Sorry to hear about your Cyclamen seedling & mother plant died. I have one Cyclamen plant on the balcony but this year it didn't flower. I hope it hasn't rotted away.

all my C coum and C hederfolium have gone dormant so no laves. Is the mother corm firm still Eli? The babies may have a small corm that will leaf up again next year, The corm will be slightly smaller than a barley corn.

This is what it looked like last year. This year though it was growing it never had any flowers.

That is definitely a C.persicum form.
