Mine is a lot further behind, there was no sign of a bud a couple of days ago.
I've got a new small one which flowered in the first year I had it, I have no idea how old it was when I got it.

Isn't it strange how some are reluctant to flower, I wonder if it's cos we treat them so well? I moved mine during the winter and it's better than ever. Even without flowers they look interesting.

Mine is now is coming up for 5yrs old and I only paid £5 from a walled garden nursery in one of the local hospitals ground in Angus.
Should I be feeding it with anything?

I would say yes Scotkat. It is good to feed in the spring and just general fertilizer would be alright if that is what you have. Low nitrogen for paeonies and well rotted manure is good for them. This is something I can't get unfortunately, but maybe you can.

I'd have preferred a pink one, to be honest, but I'm just pleased that mine is flowering this year!
