Last evening a Blackbird was sitting on the Chimney pot singing it's head off .....such Joy

I saw a peacock butterfly on a heather plant - that was pure joy, too! ;D

Yep...we have a blackbird (or six) serenading the street too. Today we had a goldfinch burbling away on the chimneypot....he was going for ages..a lovely sound. AND the thrushes are back....

I was sitting with a cuppa yesterday evening and was joined by the blackbirds song, a pair of robins and a wren it was lovely ;D

Just back from walking Henry - saw a yellow brimstone and a comma butterfly!

Rarely see a Brimstone up here but they're a sight to behold. In spite of the winter there's lots of birds this year, no Long tailed tits though Actually it's a bit like Hitchcock The Birds at the mo as the farmer has spread something strong and the sky is full of Crows and Seagulls. A pair of Snipe went by chatting, The resident Magpies need shooting but the Doves are at it again. Can't find the Blackbirds nest site but I'm so glad it's chosen my Garden.

I'm soooo pleased that the butterflies are around again - they really are a pleasure, and I grow a lot of flowers that they like.
