Those Sanguisorbas grow quite quite big don't they Fractal , I've had to move mine to a corner where it won't smother anything, and I've got two in pots so that they will (hopefully) remain a manageable size. They are only in bud at the moment.

I seem to remember Monty Don is fond of tithonia, I've never tried them but they do look to be worth a go. I don't usually pick flowers for display but have done this last week :-
