We seem to be infested with pollen beetles at the moment, never really had a problem with them before & I don't think they do a lot of damage except to commercial crops. There are dozens of them which keep appearing in the kitchen window, I keep wafting them out, squishing some & keeping the windows closed but they keep getting back in, the front door is covered with them & they are flying around all over the garden, apparently they're often found where oilseed rape is grown often at this time of year as well so maybe they've been blown in from a nearby farm?

That is right Sue. I usually have to shake the daffs to get them out before taking them into the house, but there are no pollen beetles about yet. They hang onto the light colours when they are hanging on the line too.

I had a load of them last summer on the shasta daisies, they were there for a couple of weeks then disappeared.

There are still lots of them around today, I've never seen them in the house before & I have to keep combing my hair before I come in from the garden! They do like light colours don't they Cherry, they're stuck all over the UPVC windowframes & doors! ;D We live in a smallish town not a rural village but we do have a lot of farmland around us & today apart from the beetles it smells like a pig farm outside! ;D
