The pond has really never 'gone to bed' this year and the fish have been active all winter. Not sure how many fish in there now but well over 30. Some are really pretty others less so. Caltha palustris [marsh marigold] budding up nicely. Grown from seed collected in Wales many years ago. Menyanthes trifoliata the bog bean starting to thicken up. I love the flowers of this plant. excellent for showing flower structure.

Nice to see reflections on the water, and I love the marsh plants. You used to see lots of them growing wild but not so much these days.

Fish are certainly getting hungry now. So much activity when I walk past the pond.
