Saw a very furry body feeding from the Primula denticulata. It had a very long tongue, like a hummingbird hawk moth. It is Bombylius major, the greaer bee fly. An interesting insect that is a parisitic bee mimic. the female lays her eggs near the entrance of a solitary bee or wasp nest. The egg is then carried into the nest on the hairs of the host, where they hatch and feed on the larvae of the 'host'. They are amazing to watch and fly very fast hence its blurry image.

That's very cute isn't it despite it's habits! Don't think I've ever seen one of those in our garden.
