Why have I started seeing adverts on this site ? I have an adblocker and never seen them in the past but now all of a sudden they appear.
I don't see them on any other sites I look at so why this one ... ?
Does anyone else see them ?

To be honest I never notice if there are ads. or not but I think there have always been odd ones at the top of the page under the main banner, there is a very small banner ad. for fitness equipment today. I have ad. blockers but still see some on various pages. This site is free to use & isn't sponsored by anyone, it used to be sponsored by T&M I think years ago but as far as I know steve pays a small fee every so often to keep it going & ads. are what supports it via Proboards the owners. |

Yes there has always been banner ads top or bottom of certain pages, you can pay to have these removed but to be honest I don’t notice them and also with all the scams going on I certainly wouldn’t click on one to make a purchase

I don't see ads on here either - nor on most of the sites I visit! I have 4 different ad blocking extensions in my FireFox browser so it's really strange to see ads.! On my mobile I try to block them as much as possible by using a browser called FireFox Focus. This does a really good job & keeps my phone free from malware as well!

I think there was some sort of upgrade being done on the site yesterday Eli as when I tried to log on yesterday morning I got an error message saying the site wasn't available but gradually after I logged on a few times different sections became active & the font had changed slightly. This might have been why the ads. disappeared again for you. |
