Over the years we have had many dragonflies and damsels in and around the pond. Today I spotted one I'd never seen before. I did send the images to Victoria to id. She came back immediately with 4 spotted chaser. Lots around Brackenhurst campus {Nottingham Trent uni} but she is, like me over the moon that we have one in the garden.
This time it landed on the top of the stem of a fading tulip. They are common in the UK and they dart about a lot making taking pictures difficult according to the Dragonfly society. So I feel really chuffed to have got 4 relatively in focus pics.

Lovely pics. seaburn. We used to get quite a few dragonflies but haven't seen as many in the last couple of years.
