There are other plants in flower on the floor of the balcony, .
These Snapdragons were some seedlings my son raised this year. He had many more than he could use so he asked me if I would like a few - of course I would - what a silly question! .
.
I've become quite attracted to taking macro photos of my flowers!

I like the foliage of this plant more than the actual flowers! It one of the very few plants whose leaves attract me more than the flowers! The stems of the flowers are very long & can't support the weight of the flowers which are always falling down to nearly touch the floor. This year I have the pot between others & so it hasn't been so bad with the plants on either side helping to keep the flowers a little more upright & more importantly, off the floor!
These Sweet William flowers are the first I've grown on the balcony I think since I started growing plants on it nearly 21 years ago! The reason for not growing them before is how late they flower! I like to get my summer bedding plants in at the end of May & of course these haven't even begun by then. I did grow them in my parents garden when I still lived at home but that must be 60 years ago or more!

Today the last 2 flowers on one of my 3 Orchids have fallen off. I've moved it off the living room table & put it back into the small window in the kitchen where, hopefully, it will build up its strength to flower another time. It joins the yellow one there that my wife wouldn't let me put on the living room table with the others. It has many ugly aerial roots that she doesn't like to see.

Yesterday I potted up 9 or 10 Fuchsia cuttings that had been rooting in water.
.
.
Perhaps I should have waited till next Wednesday as the temps are forecast to fall by at least half from nearly 40C on Monday & Tuesday to only about 20C on Wednesday with some possible rain showers!
I have been watering my pots, hanging baskets & troughs everyday but I imagine they will need watering twice a day on Monday & Tuesday! I've bought a bottle of tomato fertilizer & originally planned on watering the tomatoes using it on Monday but on 2nd thoughts I'm going to leave it until Wednesday. I believe that too much fertilizer is bad at a time of very high temps as it impedes the uptake of water.

I think so too - very delicate. Eli, is Phlox maculata 'Natascha' a perennial. A bit different to the ones I've got. Lovely photos everyone and SueA love your garden flowers and the one in the yellow jug is stunning.
