Well June has sprung & the day is quite sunny today! Our balcony is looking fab, mainly thanks to the red & the shocking ping Petunias my son got me when I asked him to buy me a dozen Petunias - all of the same colour & I told him it didn't matter which!
I can't post the photo I took of the balcony from the centre or you could see it for yourselves. I'll try again tomorrow.

Eli Grindle's final image is of Amsonia, though which one is another matter. Possibly ciliata.

The first rose blooming on my new Boule de Neige. The fragrance is really strong and lovely and I wanted a rose to look shaggy, like an old Dutch master, with unformed cups and I am pleased with my choice. It is a Bourbon rose, so I must be attracted to these as I have Zephirin Drouhin, which is a favourite.
