Had a walk around the garden today & took some photos while the sun was shining. Hydrangeas still looking good Japanese anemones out Pots on one side of front door Salvia Royal Bumble Succulent shelves - had to replace 4 which died in winter. Pots at side door Cupani sweet peas Platinum steps

Some of them are balc2 but not the ones with codling moth grubs in!π I imagine not! π when I shared an allotment with a friend there was a big cooking apple tree on his plot & it was always full of these pests! Even with 100s of apple falling off the tree with holes in them there were still so many left on the tree that we couldn't even give whole ones away!
I took many of them home & used them to make apple crumbles or added blackberries or rhubarb to them. I never, ever found a grub in any of them! I just cut out the damaged parts & then sliced them up & cooked them. Over 3 or 4 years I did this!
