Thank you both ... it looks nice in a hanging basket but this year I've only got one bit in a pot.
Some Chrysanthemums, a bit battered :-
Leaves of my resident Oak tree :-
Jasminum nudiflorum:-
Fuchsia 'Mrs Popple' in the front garden :-
Antirrhinum :-

they look lovely Hywel. I also have a few snapdragons hanging on. They are such cheerful plants, takes me back to childhood plants.

Eli those Mums look lovely! As my wife doesn't like Mums I don't grow any on the balcony - though I do like them! They take her back to when she was a child in Spain & people took lots of them to the cemeteries - especially on 1st November. So for her they represent sadness.

My mother didn't like them either balc2, nor Hyacinths, and for the same reason - my grandfather always put them on his patents' grave. She called them 'death flowers'

'Peruvian Lily' (Alstroemeria) 'Summer Breeze' it's last buds of 2023 just opened today on the balcony! Will the plant survive the winter in a pot on the balcony without extra protection? This is the first time I've ever grown them.

My son has a couple of these plants & he doesn't do anything else than put them in a dry place during the winter so I hope mine will be alright as well.

I have Indian Physic and it is fully hardy and stays in the border all winter. I think some of the newer varieties are less hardy, sadly.
