I sowed some Sweet Pea seeds in October and they grew very tall so I cut them back in November. They are now in a perspex shelter at the side of my shed but are wilting badly because I haven't watered them for a long time. I didn't do that because it was too cold, and although they are inside the shelter it still gets very cold and I didn't want the water to freeze in the pots. Today I think I'll bring them into the house and water them, and keep them indoors until the weather warms up a bit. I don't usually sow them in the autumn but thought I'd try it this year. I'm not doing it again, it's too much worry

Quite understandable, Eli! I've only ever done it a couple of times, mainly because I don't have room on the balcony & because it didn't seem to make enough difference to sowing them in the spring.
