Hi Louise, lovely to see you on here, we've missed you. My favourite hanging basket plants are petunias but I also like lysimachia 'Aurea' & trailing lobelia & begonias for shady areas & violas, bulbs, fuchsias, ivy, grasses etc. etc.! ;D

Well done geranium for mentioning Bidens. So easy to grow from seed too. For something a little different try one of the trailing coleus (Solenostemum) Available from Horn's nursery.

I've been planting up quite a lot of baskets today and have used a variety of plants including fuchsias, geraniums, lobelia, bidens, nemesia, verbena, helichrysums, diascias, nasturtiums and bacopa. I love them all...but I think my favourites this year have to be Diascia "Blue denim" and Nemesia "Blueberry Ripple"
