my husband has a very good adze and has used it many times when hewing wood for renovating the Humber Keel. and yes you do swing it between your legs.

Especially in Scotland when wearing a kilt ;D Did you go commando when you wore your one sweetpea You can laugh but when we did our arctic warfare training in Norway we had to strip off in the sauna then go out and roll around in the snow starkers and rub the stuff all over. Apart from the sudden (near fatal) shock to the system it was surprising how warm it made you feel. A real Rosie glow ;D

My OH is the current skipper. as for the spelling lesson OH once beat me at scrabbble with adze and I have never forgiven him
