Anyone tried the thornless varieties, do they taste as good? Yes they are good. Not grown them myself but looked after other folks' gardens. I believe the variety was 'Oregon'

I have one in a pot at the lottie (until I find a space for it). It had a few fruits last year and they were very delish

I think they are also known as 'Parsley Leaved.'

I'll look out for 'Origon' then, just one more thing, I want to put it on the field-side of my fence and west facing. It's very long but only 3 - 4ft high. Will it train along rather than go bushy?

Firstly thank you for your advice. Secondly an apology, I've not bought Origon, I went on the website of my favoured company 'Crocus' and bought another called 'Apache' It arrive yesterday and looks happy in it's new home.
