it depends on the season for me. I have many; with recollections of walks with my beloved uncle and bunches for my mum, in my very happy childhood.
so here goes: wood anenomes, early spotted orchid, cowslip, field scabious, great willow herb, scarlet pimpernell, sea thrift.
I have many others that I like but these are my favs.

I have two. Heather and thyme both grown at their best in Scotland.

I am lucky in that I have some of those Steve and they're looking great just now. This is a favourite of mine but not sure of it's name.

Is that a native plant, Ron? I have it in my garden - it grows in shade and starts flowering really early! I find it hard to choose only one favourite - but it's got to be bluebells at the top of the list, I think. I love wild orchids, knapweed, scabious, corn cockle, and little violets too. I'm sure there are more.

I agree, there are so many flowers that I love but for several reasons, if I had to choose one....it. would be the Summer Snowflake.
Hard to be too selective as I love so many also.

Heaven for me would be a field of wheat with blue Cornflowers and Poppies in it

I agree with the poppies and cornflowers, perhaps with a sprinkling of Corncockles and field marigolds. I love all wildflowers, nature does it best. One of my favourites because it is so rare would be the Bee Orchid

I like the corn cockle, plus the scent of the bluebells in the woods. Me too Tel. When you drive on the A96 the verges are full of corn cockles and ox eye daisies, it looks wonderful together. And one of my memories of holidays in England are all the poppies growing in the fields and verges, lovely stuff
