The best ones usually are.... ;D and, at least in my case, FREE as I used wire from a skip and also they last forever and a day, are easier to use than string and can be used on other plants when support is required.

Also notice the small hole bored into the wood. (First pic) That is to stick the wire into which holds it in place while winding it.

brilliant and you can make them what ever size you want. my OH bends welding rods into Y stick/links for me too as he buys them by the 100's and are so much cheaper than shop boght ones.
