I will have a corner of the g'house available for a plant direct in the soil. been wondering what to try. Obviously something that would not get too big and with flowers & scent. I have one or two ideas but just wondered what others may come up with.

Actinidia 'Jenny' which is a self-fertile Kiwi Fruit. I think Steve might grow this. The leaves of Actinidia are most attractive.

I can see why this would appeal to you cherry ;D it is a nice plant though. Still not sure what to do yet. The actual spot I had in mind was full of ants when I last looked. hope they have moved elsewhere now that I've disturbed them.

Well, the name sticks. Not as much as Geranium's Vinca 'Jenny Pye' because that is my maiden name. Anyone I married would improve my name.

No - no relation. Have you come across a plant called the 'Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow' plant? I've seen it in an NGS garden. It was sooo beautiful, but not hardy. I'd have to look the latin name up. Another plant for a greenhouse is Solanum rantonettii 'Royal Robe'.

thanks for these replies. Some of the things I had in mind were Beumontia, Bomarea caldessii, lapagera rosea, Hoya carnosa, Gloriosa etc. etc. no doubt I'll end up putting something else in entirely. Still, its good to ponder.
