My Peris normally suffers from frost damage but this year it's leaves are yellowing, could it be drought?

It's been there for several years now but I'll feed it and next time I go to the GC I'll get some Sequestrene. Thanks for your help.

Try a dose of sequestrene, Merlin. Did it last night Geranium, it's looking worse already but hopefully given time it will improve. I may need to give it more though.

Remember that frost damage and having withstood minus 12 etc means stress at the roots.
Our dry couple of months will have its roots in turmoil. Drought is the cause of some things dying back at the moment and it has applied to one of my Ugni's.
I thought i'd lost it but when i scratched the stems and bark it was green in 80% of the plant.
I'd cut your Pieris back Merlin, water like mad and it might revive.
If it's not in acid soil it's yellowing because it's deficient and if you've not renewed its soil for a few years it needs replacing.

You may well have a point there Louise as it's not just my Pieris that's losing it's leaves. My two remaining Trachlospurmun Jasminoidies and all my Pyracantha are doing the same, it's like Autumn !!

Has yours got any new shoots?

Have to say I'm concerned about the changing climate, we seem to be breaking records all the time. I really worry that we'll get more severe winters
