No - I wouldn't like pop-ups I thought it would just be banners

Stop worrying. Put your trust in Steve. He is still tweaking. He is a great tweaker. Love that word.

The banners you're all talking about aren't a problem, they're no bigger than our logo and positioned in that area. 7"x1".
The forum that Esther and myself have been on for a bit, and Geranium joined recently, has banners and they're really not that intrusive and are quite a good talking point in themselves ;D
They are always something related to what one of us has been searching/googling so that's what i mean when i say they're a talking point !!!
I did a search for Boden and Laura Ashley clothes once and ..... up Boden and L A ads advert popped ;D ;D
Go and peek into the Garden World Discussions site/forum and you'll see what i'm talking about.

That would be nice but would it attract new members and would it cost the same regardless of how many new members we get. What about subsidising 'Freaky' to advertise on here ;D

I think we should stop talking about cost ..... keep the banners, they're fairly unobtrusive, they're not worth worrying over.
The banner i see on Garden World Discusssions at this mo is a John Lewis advert because that's where i've looked in the last couple of days. Advertising a perfume !
Then Wickes ;D
Then Jules Verne ;D ;D

I don't mind the banners either, you don't notice them much

I don't mind either way to be honest, but as Cherry says, our Steve is good at tweaking ;D

I agree about the banners being unobtrusive - they're there, and that's it, really. You can forget about them after a while. -

That will be interesting Steve....The only problem with that Piskie is the admin, plus it might put prospective new members off from joining if they have to pay. There are plenty of free sites out there.....

I have a programme called 'Malware bites' It gets rid of 'cookies' but you have to run it yourself, every now and again.
