I've finally found a spot on the edge of my ditch which is on a west facing fence and always wet It's not actually in water but the roots will be able to get to as much water as it wants. Blueberry 'Earlyblue', it's difficult to see as it's a bit small but hopefully it will get going soon.

That looks ideal Merlin. I expect that is natural water too.
I must say, when I talk about a ditch, the one running down the side is ten feet deep and called 'Ten Foot Drain'. Lots of fruit trees are growing in the banks of a cross drain which is probably only six feet deep, but I can only reach one branch on each tree.

Oh yeah! I can just imagine it. I have often thought of taking a big plank down the farm to lay across the ditch, but it is a long way with the barrow. I might drive one down the strip. There you are. Your silly comments helped the situation. ;D
