It must have been in the 70's. I remember going out with a girl in Oswestry who was a hairdresser. She said a woman wanted to have a new style and when she opened up the 'hive' there were no bees but lots of much smaller creatures Anyway, I take it that you don't want to have bees in your hive, just for ornament, what a pity. If you lived closer I'd make you one.

It was earlier than the 70s. I am honest. ;D I remember the style very well - and I had one, well, almost. Not as tall as Dusty Springfield's famous one.

I think one of these beehives will suit your garden very well Louise.

Thank you, i think so too.
My idea came from the 2007 Chelsea Flower Show !
One of the show gardens (have got it on record and watch it regularly) - the Fortnum Mason one to be exact - had them in that garden and from the moment i saw them i wanted some, they fit into cottage garden styles really well and i would like one !
