That's wrong Geranium, I would email them. Ours shuts at dusk all year round. It won't do any good, Merlin - it's part of the huge cuts that had to be made this year. Many of the smaller libraries are going, too - or severely cutting their opening hours. If the small branch 3 miles away goes, our nearest one will be an 18 mile round trip.

Cant really fault the council here as we get weekly collections for general waste, Food waste and plastic recycling. All the glass and garden waste goes to the local tip in my trailer so all is recycled.
a few years back I did an April fool on my neighbour about her recycling and she fell for it hook line and sinker. (I may put it on here some day for you to see) Anyway recently a council rep knocked her door to speak to her about her recycling and she thought it was a joke again until he showed his ID. Couple of red faces there. ;D

Our collections are every two weeks - alternating between household and recyclable waste .We also have two green bins for green waste at a cost of £50.00 per year - this is collected every two weeks also. Then we have a food waste collection every week. We do have 3 compost bins in the garden as well
