Graham got sent home from work early, we have just spent 45 mins weighing down the polytunnel with big bags of compost and slabs. He had a stack of flooring in the garden, covered over, the cover blew off and the sheets started to lift off the pile. The house looks like a garden centre

Rosie that sounds awful, I do hope you don't get too much damage, take care. The wind here has dropped and it's raining that fine soaking stuff

It's been a nice sunny day in the main but the winds are still with us, we had about an hour of rain mid afternoon so that was welcome and now it's back to sunny and a bit of high cloud !

Our rain didn't even show up on the rain gauge. It went, and we had sun as well. Still windy though - but nothing like the Scottish wind!

We've had a dry sunny day and great gust of winds now and again but no rain. Same Lesley. I think we are forecast small showers for some on Thursday. The potatoes next door are being irrigated, even though the water was blowing in the wind.

The wind is still blowing but not like yesterday. Will be going down to the allotment this morning, hopefully the dahlias with been small plants will be ok, more concerned at the moment about the brassicas.

Hope no one has got blown away! What really annoys me is the BBC have just (again) said " the price of bread is due to increase due to "the Hot weather" Have they forgotten that the UK extends further than Watford Gap.

Well the winds have dropped as good bit, a gust was measured at 114mph at Aonach Mor The polytunnel has also survived It seems much calmer today but still quite breezy.
