Just come back from the allotment. My tunnel is ok too!!...but my new min /max thermometer had somehow come untied from the hoop and smashed

....Brian has just rang on the way back from the shops....he has bought me a new one

well i wish we could just get some calm quiet days here, nothing is going to grow on the allotment if its getting it from all roads, thankfully we have made a start with the windbreaks and will hopefully be finished tomorrow before an absolute deluge on the west coast is forecast for a couple of days - just hoping the winds lay off of us for a few days to let everything recover. here in dumfriesshire the wind was recorded at 100mph, so not so good at all. unfortunately we are all getting the fall out from the tornado in the usa, we always end up with its cast offs!
