That will be the same distance from your house. I have to go down past the farm buildings to see this going on. They are all coming out now. The grain is all in store now. The straw will be baled next so I must get down there and pick some up. I stuff it into dog food or compost bags. Later I will hear about the condition and price of the wheat which I find interesting.

I used to enjoy watching the haymaking and baling when we lived in Somerset, the field was across the road from our cottage and used to go on after dark

We saw a few combines down the road from here at the weekend, I love watching them too. Cherry, a small plane (think it was a Piper?) crashed just a few miles from us today near Barton Airport into the backs of a two houses, luckily no-one appears to have been killed but the pilot & passenger suffered burns. We were at the airport there a few weeks ago for a mini airshow, they used to have a full show with the Red Arrows, Vulcans, aerobatics etc. but stopped due to the high insurance, it's right next to housing. This photo has nothing to do with anything but the cat has decided she likes sunbathing on the sunroof of the car, here she is relaxing this afternoon!

I heard it on the lunch time news, but have not heard any details yet. You are ahead of me.
Your cat is beautiful.

It takes a plane crash to snap you back into reality. Having a sister arrive from Spain accompanied by lots of family and a number of finicky extras pales into insignificants. It hasn’t stopped me pulling my hair out and swearing a lot but it has put it into perspective.
Roll on Thursday, I need my life back and loads of extravagant treats as compensation. Lacking extravagance I’ll settle for anything which involves chocolate and cream. ;D

Does your sister live in Spain WF. It is lovely to see family and friends, but it is also nice to see them go. It is a lot of work and visitors don't see this.

She moved there about eight years ago, it is good to see her and catch up, I love her to bits but we only get on for short periods, two hours is good, two weeks is far too long.
