Hope it all goes well for your nephew and his new bride, the weather's going to be good, so that's a start. Only a few hours and you'll be able to kick your shoes off and be comfortable

There are a lot of weddings this weekend. Son is going to one in Cambridge tomorrow (unusual on a Sunday), neighbour is at a wedding in Cambridge today, and friends flew up to Holkham Hall, via our airstrip, for a wedding today.

Hope all the weddings went well, at least they've all had lovely weather for it if it's been anything like it has here, we went to New Brighton & it was gorgeous, sun, sea (well the River Mersey estuary!), tea, toasties & ice creams!

I've just seen a little snippet of Zara's wedding on the News - very low key! I can't blame her, though. She looked lovely.

It all went well, weather was good, I successfully managed to dodge every camera for the whole day. I got half way from the house to the car in the uncomfortable shoes and decided that although I love my nephew, I don't love him enough for uncomfortable shoes so I ditched them for comfortable ;D I must be getting old I still have a house full and am still gathering extras by the day. I need my grubby jeans and dirt under my nails, a domestic goddess I am not.

I do agree - there was Kate whose hat and outfit looked wonderful, and Beatrice, whose outfit, especially the hat err...didn't!

Glad it all went well W.F., bet your nephew wouldn't have minded if you had turned up in your jeans as long as you showed up! ;D Don't envy you the houseful, I couldn't cope but you seem to be becoming the perfect hostess having handled the BBC & all those garden visitors too!
