It was the harvest WI last night and I only had to pay 30p for the celery. The rest was left over and they are bagged ready for transport to the stores. What a rush for the celery. I had to ask someone in the front to pass a celery to me. They are mad about it here. The celery stretches right across the hall in boxes, but again I forgot my camera.

The field is having a deep ploughing just now to get ready for the sugar beet seeds. The last combining in this area takes place at Chatteris today. They have a great day for it.

I think this bodes well for Harrogate. All your good luck is coming together. It did not take long for you to find a house once you really made up your minds that this was it, no matter how the timing works out. We all want to come to the housewarming party. ;D Now there's an idea Cherry ;D ;D

Les, the baking looks lovely, fuchsia is a winner, the dahlias are nice but, the stems could have done with been another 6 to 8 inch longer, because they look a little out of balance with the height of the vase, hope you do not mind me pointing that out to you. Now for the good side of your dahlias, you matched the blooms for size. The centres of the blooms are excellent. You deserve to be on the winners posting.

Thank you Tel, I dint mind you telling me, having never shown them before we shall see, it was a last minute decision so didn't have much time.
