I think it was heading for Dublin Peony. If you fancy the 100 day round the world trip in one of the best suites it costs something like £110,000 so you might have to raid your piggy bank! ;D Just after 9/11 that cruise cost £950 as a last minute deal, I expect it wasn't in such a posh cabin though.

That sounds like a bargain W.F. if you were prepared to take the chance & had the money!I've never fancied a cruise even though I love looking at the liners themselves, I think I'd be claustrophobic & seasick ! ;D We're always looking at little sailing boats & narrow boats & saying wouldn't it be lovely to have one of those but I can't swim & would be scared of walking around on the deck & at the weekend we went to the river festival at Liverpool & walked along a floating pontoon in the dock looking at the tall ships & the O.H. said he didn't like it as the pontoon was moving & making him feel seasick! What a pair! ;D

The ships are so big they don't move like you would expect, if you didn't know you were on a ship you wouldn't be able to tell. If you don't have time restraints a late deal works out cheaper than staying in a travel lodge.

I would not fancy a cruise in case I get stuck with people I don't like.
How is this for a coincidence? Last night I was speaking to a lady who visits Brisbane every year to see her daughter and grandchildren. My granddaughter left here yesterday after a visit and had spent a worrying week in the Children's Hospital in Brisbane in January. My friend's daughter is a nurse there in the high dependency ward and nursed my granddaughter. She remembers these cases as the heart team comes especially from Melbourne and my granddaughter flew to Brisbane from Townsville.

You wouldn't Cherry, these ships are very big and there is lots going on so its easy to avoid people. We were on a restaurant table with an awful couple, he talked non-stop about golf and how good he was and she just nodded OH just had a word with the Restaurant Manager and we never got that table again, and we did meet some nice, interesting people

Thanks, they're trying to get it so that cruise liners can start & finish at Liverpool instead of just calling there so if they do we'll be going to watch them more often, I only really like the 'pretty' ones though not the ones which look like a floating block of flats! ;D

When we were on our way out on Friday night we saw a strange glowing blue oval shape in the sky ahead of us in the sky with flashing lights on it...UFO? As we got closer we could see it was the Goodyear 'blimp' & we thought it was probably going to Barton airport near us so on the way home we popped in there & saw it parked up, it was lit internally & did look eerie, didn't have a camera though except the phone which is rubbish so we thought we'd call back at the weekend to see it. Yesterday morning we were passing & it was still there, apparently going to Old Trafford for the football, there was a replica Spitfire on site too & lots of the small planes taking off, looked lovely in the sun.
