Talking about fuel......electricity in particular........we got a letter last week from our supplier asking to increase our monthly payment from £46 to £110 per month!!!!!!!!!!!!! ....our bill was not large so don't know how they can justify such an increase. I phoned them and told them...sorry...can't afford that.....and without any argument they said would £70 be ok. ....I wonder how many folk just pay up

You won't believe this - our Sainsbury's have been giving out vouchers for 5p a litre off petrol. Lovely, you might think. Ah, but the petrol station is closed for refurbishment, so they suggest that we should drive to the next Sainsbury's - 20 miles away!

I believe this. We regularly get fuel vouchers from our Tesco which does not sell it and the next Tesco is almost as far.

I am really silly. I did not think I had to do the Church flowers and had to rush into Morrisons for the flowers. These will be built up with my purple Lilac, purple Aquilegia and young Eucalyptus. I love lilac.
Three carloads of people have come for a picnic at the hangar, and husband will fly some of them in the four seater (not his). Tomorrow there is another lot of people coming from London, to have a picnic. We are going out, even though they are nice otherwise I never get away.

I love lilac too, i've not ever had success though - with any of the 3 plants i've bought, over the years. Is there a knack to them, surely not ?

Yes. Buy one either properly potted and not containerized, as a lying garden centre sold me once, or bare root in winter. There is no knack. Perhaps I would advise that it should be well supported because they grow fast and they can be pruned very successfully. Certainly nothing you could not do Louise. Try it.

They believe what companies tell them, even though it's mostly just b******t sales patter The elderly are the ones who fall for it time and again and they're very often hundreds of pounds in credit then - but do they get the rebates ..... ? Not very often
