I've never heard of the scheme, maybe it's only in England. I'm glad you had a nice day.
I often go on a bus, (don't like driving places on my own since B died) but the bus coming through this village only goes to the nearest town 3 miles away, so I drive there and then catch a bus. You can get one to Carmarthen Llanelli or Swansea but that's all.
I went to Carmarthen today, but it takes over an hour, even though Carmarthen is only 20 miles away, because the bus goes on a meandering route around lots of dreary villages and it can be a bit tedious. The same to Llanelli, and that's such a miserable place anyway I don't go often. Swansea is a big sprawling city and I don't really like it. I only go there to get laver bread in the market or to take flowers to B's grave, and that means catching another bus from the city centre to where the cemetery is.
They could do a lot to improve public transport, but so few people use it I don't think they'll bother.
You should relocate to Cwmbran Eli.

I liked Cwmbran. Elizabeth my eldest girl was at Newport uni [2011-2014] and lived on Caerleon campus and when we visited we often went to Cwmbran as they had some great fabric shops. I also timed my visit to the plant fair at Caerleon in the spring.
We all loved the Roman ruins etc and the transporter bridge in Newport. Oh happy memories indeed.

I am sure we met at the AGS show in Caerleon, many years ago. Our youngest was at Swansea Uni so we frequently drove down through the centre of Wales to deliver or collect her. We liked Caerleon as well.

I was born and bred in Newport, as kids we had lots of fun on the tranny.

I forgot to ask my son how to find this reply box on the weather thread which is missing, so I can’t add the cold local weather to it. What have I done now? Anyway, if I can’t work it out, I will see him and Natasha on the weekend,

I told you a couple of days i only had a few days to go well i'm doing a Skydive for chariety Turning Tides which is for the homeless, something thats been close to my heart i've always supported them NOT that i've ever been in that situation. I'm doing it at Salisbury 9th Sept with 12 others, i've also collected £1.200.00 which i'm very pleased with. I'll tell you how i get on when i've done it, on hoilday i did the zip wire over the Eden project it was fabulous
