Not necessarily Merlin. You could easily have sent off these scraggy looking sections wrapped in some damp kitchen roll just raring to go for the recipient. I am such a meanie, I am always looking for the cheapest postage and easiest packing, especially now that the price of postage has gone up.

Cherry has a very good point, for ease and cost we can do the mollycoddling. I always find packing live plants a bit of a nightmare so do make it easy on yourself

You're right of cause but I was concerned as some have few roots so need extra care.

I love these but my soil is too alkaline for them. They never come back the next year.
