I once had one of it's relatives on my bedroom windowsill when I was a kid (Voodoo Lily). I came back from school one day to find mum had put it outside because of the stink. Pity it was in the middle of winter as it was completely frosted by the time I got home! She has a cruel streak!!!

Sorry to be a pedant. This Titan Arum is one of the wonders of the plant kingdom, nay the whole of the natural world but it is not the largest "flower" as stated in the link. They should at least have got this correct! It's an inflorescence made up of many small flowers and surrounded by large spathes or modified bracts/leaves. The Sunflower is another "flower" of cited as a large flower when it is in fact made up of many small true flowers packed into a head.
The largest known single flower still remains the parasitic Rafflesia arnoldii that lives completely within its host vines in Sumatra, only emerging during flowering.
